Organizers and Space Savers for Travel
As long as I can remember, I've enjoyed traveling - as a child, teenager, young adult, mother, and now older adult. I feel fortunate to have had the opportunities and definitely have learned a few things about embracing the journey as much as the destination. As a mental health therapist, I view travel as an excellent tool to recharge, regroup, and reprioritize our life. It can be a very physical and mentally personal journey for all. I'd love to share tips and products with you to facilitate a safe, enjoyable, and stress free (as much as possible) travel.
Organizers and Space Savers for Travel
My parents didn't have a lot of money so our trips to the mountains or beaches included packed lunches, coolers, and basic activities (crossword puzzles, coloring books, etc.). This was WAY before technology provided cell phones, iPads, streaming, gaming, etc.). Of course, times have changed and there are many wonderful ideas and products out there to make the journey less stressful for everyone; whether you're traveling solo or with your family. It is my wish and pleasure to share what I've discovered and welcome your ideas and experiences as well. Happy travels!
Since road trips are the most popular form of travel, we'll explore that first. How to pack to maximize space, comfort, and time whether solo or with a car full. I sometimes travel with my dog too.
I LOVE a road trip! However, for some people, driving is just a necessary task to reach their destination. Either way, it's important to be prepared by deciding what the priorities are for your trip. Is it a family vacation? Are you traveling to an event? Is the trip work related? You get the idea.
Next, and equally important, is to decide what you hope to accomplish on the trip. What are you going to be doing on this trip? What provisions will you absolutely need and what are non-essentials? As you know, some things just require more space so it's important to give your travel goal first consideration when packing. Checklist and priorities are key, depending on your particular travel mission.
